SkillsFuture Funding - 80% Grant

 
 

 

Type of Course Singapore Citizens
Aged ≥ 21 years

Courses offered by SSG-
appointed CET Centres

Non-PME-level Courses Up to 80% of course fees,
capped at $17/hr
PME-level Courses
 
All Singaporean Citizens aged 21 years old and above will be eligible for the SSG Training Grant, receiving subsidies of up to 80% of course fees, capped at $17 per hour for WSQ Courses at June Floral Art School.

SkillsFuture Funding - Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES)

The SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES) supports and encourages lifelong learning and helps Singaporeans stay responsive to a changing workplace. Recognising that mid-career individuals may face greater challenges in undertaking training, the Government has implemented this programme to encourage mid-career Singaporeans to upskill and reskill.
All Singaporeans aged 40 years old and above will be eligible for MCES, receiving subsidies of up to 90% of course fees, capped at $25 per hour for WSQ Courses at June Floral Art School.

SkillsFuture Funding - Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme

≤$1,900/month

Non-PME-level Courses Up to 95% of course fees
PME-level Courses
 
The Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme is aimed at encouraging individuals to attend training, in order to expand their skillsets, gain knowledge and raise employability.
All Singaporeans aged 35 years and above earning no more than $1,900 per month are eligible for WTS, receiving subsidies of up to 95% of course fees for WSQ Courses at June Floral Art School.

Course fee funding support under this scheme can be directly applied for during WSQ Course registration at June Floral Art School.

SkillsFuture Credit


  Singaporeans aged 25 and above will be eligible for an initial credit of $500 in their SkillsFuture Credit accounts upon receiving their account activation letter. The credits can be used to pay for or offset the course fees for WSQ Courses at June Floral Art School. They can also be used on top of existing course fee grants.  
  Use of this credit is limited to self-sponsored Singaporean applicants. All applications must be submitted via the SkillsFuture Portal using SingPass, and must be done 30 days before commencement of the course.

Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA)


  Initiated by the government to encourage completion of one’s studies beyond secondary school, the Post-Secondary Education (PSE) Scheme allows Singaporeans additional support in funding for further studies. An account is automatically opened for all Singaporeans by MOE if the following conditions are met:  
  If a Singaporean is eligible for a Child Development Account (CDA) and has unspent balance in his CDA, a PSEA will be opened for him:  
 
  In the year he turns 7 years old for a child born between 2001 and 2005, or
  In the year he turns 13 years old for a child born in or after 2006.
 
  WSQ Course applicants at June Floral Art School can use their own, or their siblings’ PSEA funds to pay for approved fees. Current account balances can be checked using the MOE Autophone service at +65 6260 0777 with your NRIC number.

Awards & Allowances

 


SkillsFuture Qualification Award


  Formerly known as the CET Qualification Award (CQA), this award encourages workers to attain WSQ full qualifications, which equip them with comprehensive and robust sets of skills to perform their jobs competently, pursue career progression and explore new job opportunities.  
  Individuals eligible for the award must possess the following:  
 
  Singapore Citizens who have attain a WSQ Diploma, WSQ Specialist Diploma, WSQ Graduate Certificate or WSQ Graduate Diploma will be eligible for a cash award of S$1,000.
  Those who attain a WSQ Certificate, WSQ Higher Certificate or WSQ Advanced Certificate are eligible for a cash award of S$200.
 
  Eligibility for the award is based on the attainment of the full WSQ Qualification.  
  Date of Attainment  
Between 1 March 2011 and 31 December 2015 From 1 January 2016
First-time attainment of one of the following WSQ
full qualification ($200 Award):

Advanced Certificate
First-time attainment of one of the following

Training Commitment Award (TCA)


  Under the Workfare Training Support Scheme, the Training Commitment Award (TCA) will be automatically awarded to eligible individuals upon the following achievements:  
 
  Two WSQ Statements of Attainment (SOA) within a 12-month period
  One WSQ qualification
  One academic CET Modular Certificate or Post-Diploma Certificate
  One academic CET qualification
  One qualification for other Certifiable Courses supported and approved by SSG
 
  No application is required for this award. For each achievement, individuals will receive $200, up to $400 per year. Payment details will be included in the Workfare letter (together with information on the Workfare Income Supplement (WIS), if any).  
   
 


Training Allowance


  Training Allowance is also available for Singapore Citizens aged 35 and years and above and earning ≤ $2,000/month under the Workfare Training Support scheme. You may be eligible for training allowance at $4.50 per hour in addition to course fee subsidies.  
  Individuals can apply at any of WSG's Careers Connect or NTUC's e2i centres up to 30 days (including weekends and public holidays) before or after the start of the course with the following documents:  
 
  Certification slips from school at the end of course
  Workforce Training Scheme (WTS) Letter
 
  You can apply for Training Allowance 180 days before or no later than 30 days (including weekends and public holidays) after course commencement
